Visit to Kaizen Children’s Home

Posted on 1st April 2010 06:19 AM | News and Event

The TEEAM Trading Committee organised a visit to the Kaizen Childen’s Home Selangor in Semenyih on 14th March 2010.  The Committee Members who took part included Engr Leong Kam Seng (Chairman), Mr Charles Lee Wai Chiew, Mr Wong Tien Sung and Mr Albert Koh Yeng San together with his wife.

They were also joined by Council Member, Ir Chang Yew Cheong and his family. They were received by the home’s Chairperson Ms Agatha Yong.  Token of cash, food items, books and toys were given to the home.  At the moment, there are only six children, consisting of two girls and four boys aged three to eleven. The home can cater up to twenty children. TEEAM members who come across any families having difficulties to care for their children (eg single parent, divorcee or orphan) are welcome to arrange for an interview with the home to accept these children.

The home needs about RM 4,000 per month to cover expenses and it depends on donation from the public.  It is hoped that TEEAM members can contribute in cash donation or in kind to help these less fortunate children.

Earlier in the day Engr Leong Kam Seng and Ir Chang Yew Cheong with his family visited the rabbit farm and the Kwan Yin temple in Broga.  A small road beside the temple winds up to a small hill and people going up there can see Broga Town and the surrounding views. During lunch they were joined by Mr Charles Lee Wai Chiew and Mr Wong Tien Sung at a restaurant that serves special blue Talapia fish. Mr & Mrs Albert Koh Yeng San joined them at the home.

The Trading Committee hoped that more members will join in for the next visit.
