The Electrical and Electronics Association of Malaysia (TEEAM) held its 1st Council Meeting for the 2025–2027 term on 24 July 2025, marking the official start of a new chapter under the leadership of its newly elected President, Mr. Albert Tan Tin Yau.
The meeting commenced with a swearing-in ceremony, where all Executive Council (EXCO) and Council Members took their oaths of office, pledging to serve with dedication in line with TEEAM’s objectives and mission. During the session, Mr. Chris Yow Loo Sik was appointed by the President and unanimously accepted by the Council as Honorary Secretary for the term, after which he was formally sworn in.
With the new Council in place, TEEAM reaffirmed its commitment to driving industry growth and member development. The Council meeting also saw the formation and activation of several Specialised Group Committees, namely:
- Engineering Construction & Services
- Trading
- Manufacturing
In addition, the following Subcommittees were restructured to reflect TEEAM’s strategic direction and focus:
- Assets & Membership
- Business & Events
- CSR & ESG
- Digitalisation & Media
- Education & Training
- Industry & Standards
- Sports & Social
Each committee and subcommittee pledged to take proactive steps to strengthen member engagement, foster innovation, and contribute to the advancement of Malaysia’s electrical and electronics (E&E) industry.
The Council looks forward to a productive and impactful term ahead, with initiatives aimed at strengthening industry collaboration, driving digital transformation, promoting sustainability, and supporting talent development across the sector.
