Honorary Secretary, Ir. Dr. Ng Kok Chiang represented TEEAM at the invitation of UOB to the Launching of its U-Solar 2.0 on 21 March 2023 at Pavilion Hotel Kuala Lumpur. A Collaboration Agreement Signing Ceremony between UOB and its Solar Equipment Suppliers, marked the Official Launching. Joining the occasion were TEEAM Immediate Past President, Datuk Ir. Yong Ah Huat; and members Datin Jasmine Yong and Ms Tan Ai Peng. They were warmly welcomed by Ms Wong Yin Pheng and Mr Oh Seng Hu of UOB. The Guest of Honour was Ts. Shamsul Bahar Mohd Nor, CEO of MGTC.
U-Solar 2.0 is an enhancement of the existing U-Solar Programme, aimed at accelerating the growth of the solar PV industry. It connects U-Solar contractors to leading solar equipment suppliers, hence provides attractive terms for contractors and also drives sales for the equipment suppliers. U-Solar, Asia’s first integrated solar energy platform, was launched in October 2019 to support solar ecosystem players with end-to-end solutions.
