On 31st January 2010, the Sabah Electrical Association (PES) celebrated its 13th anniversary. A grand dinner was organised at the Ocean Seafood Village Restaurant, Kota Kinabalu. PES successfully organised 85 tables with the strong support from its members.
The Guest of Honour was YB Datuk Ir Edward Yong Oui Fah, Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Local Government & Housing, Sabah. The guests also witnessed the 7th installation of PES Office Bearers for the term 2010-2011.
TEEAM was invited to take part in the occasion. TEEAM President, Engr Fu Wing Hoong took the opportunity to organise other Heads of State Associations and TEEAM Exco Members to visit Kota Kinabalu for a networking trip. The State Associations that participated were Penang Electrical Merchants’ Association (PEMA), Perak Electrical Association (PEA), Johor Bahru Electrical & Electronic Association (JBEEA), Sarawak Electrical Association (SEA) and Sandakan Electrical Engineering Association (SEEA).
The PES dinner proved to be a good networking platform for enhancing working relationship and fostering stronger bonds among State Associations and TEEAM. A historical meeting of the Heads of State Associations and TEEAM Exco Members was also held in Kota Kinabalu. The meeting discussed issues of national interests and TEEAM Exco welcomed inputs from State Associations to make TEEAM more relevant and effective as the voice of the electrical and electronic industry.
