TAITRONICS 2016

TAITRONICS celebrated its 42nd Anniversary with real style and elegance! The Organisers, TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade and Development Council) and TEEMA (Taiwan Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers’ Association) jointly officiated TAITRONICS 2016 which was held from 6th to 9th October 2016 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1 with a whopping 530 exhibitors from eleven countries using over 1,000 booths.

In addition to displays of renowned Taiwan electronics manufacturers, there were the India government exhibits “Make in India” pavilion, together with international exhibitors from Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, United States, France, Indonesia, Singapore and China, showcasing the latest electronics and Internet of Things (IoT) innovations – thus making TAITRONICS the best platform for Taiwan to connect with international markets and also to establish win-win strategic partnerships.

“New Technology, New Applications” was the main theme for TAITRONICS 2016. The exhibitors presented the best precision technology including the latest products from upstream to downstream. Echoing this year’s main themes were exhibitors displaying in the new exhibition areas such as e-healthcare, robotics and unmanned vehicles, smart manufacturing, as well as startups, thus leading Taiwan’s electronics industry into another positive wave of paradigm shift.

There were eight Themed Pavilions nameely Pavilion of Green Living Certification; Made in Taiwan Product (MIT) Smile Mark Appliance Theme Pavilion; Pavilion of Wearable and IoT Smart Applications; Smart Living Pavilion; Green & Smart Theme Pavilion; Smart Safety Pavilion; Cloud Computing Association in Taiwan Cloud and IoT Pavilion, and Life in Tech Pavilion. All these Pavilions integrated with interactive, experiential, and internationalisation promotional strategies by providing Reality Video Platforms, Unmanned Machine, Cloud Bookcases, 3D Interactive Games, IoT Systems for Hospital Beds, Smart Cushions and many more, to effectively create one of a kind exciting and interesting experiences for the enthusiastic visitors who were undoubtedly mesmerised in a sea of mind-revolving psychedelic colours – truly an unforgettable sight to behold!

TEEAM President, Ir Chew Shee Fuee KMN was honoured to be invited by TAITRA to visit the exhibition.  What impressed him most was the on-going advanced rate of research in the totally new areas of IoT for Automatic Manufacturing, Smart City, Smart Home, Automotive, Medical and the Wearables fields of interest.  The pace of these areas is developing at an enormous speed and this indeed augurs very well for the future – there is so much more to be discovered yet. Truly amazing times ahead!
