Congratulations to the winners of the prestigious TEEAM Academic Excellence Awards 2017 & 2018. They are members’ children and children of members’ employees who are recognised for their outstanding performance in their public examinations in 2016 & 2017. A ceremony was held on 4th August 2018 at TEEAM. The respective awards were presented to the winners by TEEAM President, Ir Yong Ah Huat, in the company of Mr David Chong, TEEAM Academic Excellence Awards Chairman.

The awards were given for UPSR, PT3, SPM and A-Level category. Each award comprised a certificate and cash value ranging from RM 200 to RM 1000. Beginning this year, the awards application is also open for the UEC and IGCSE O-Level categories. Total were a total of four awards given for 2017 and twelve awards for the year 2018.

Besides the Primary, Secondary and Pre-Universities students, TEEAM Academic Excellence Awards were also presented to the best Electrical and Electronics Engineering undergraduates from Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) and Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). There were twenty recipients each, for the year 2017 and 2018. The Awards were aimed at recognising and rewarding high achievers for their noteworthy and praiseworthy educational efforts.

TEEAM Scholarship was also presented to Mah Chee Hoong, a student from Nottingham University, Malaysia Campus. He is pursuing an Electrical & Electronics Engineering Degree.

It was certainly a proud and joyous occasion for all the recipients and their parents. The Awards presentation concluded with a group photo and tea reception thereafter.
