The Department of Export Promotion (DEP) under the Ministry of Commerce, Royal Thai Government, joined forces with the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Industry Club and the Electric and Electronics Industry Club of the Federation of Thai Industries to present Bangkok RHVAC and E&E 2011. Bangkok RHVAC 2011 was the 8th international exhibition on refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning. Bangkok E&E 2011 was the 4th international exhibition on electric and electronics products. Both the events were held concurrently from 12th to 16th October 2011 at Impact Muang Thong Thani, Thailand.
TEEAM was invited by DEP to join an international press mission to cover both the events. As the Editor of Suara TEEAM was away on travelling during that time, TEEAM was represented by its Executive Secretary, Ms Winnie Khong. Press delegates were invited from China, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam.
His Excellency Mr Siriwat Kajornprasat, Deputy Minister of Commerce, Royal Thai Government presided at the opening ceremony. Bangkok RHVAC 2011 was organised under the “Green Innovations for Better Life” concept, while Bangkok E&E 2011 was held under the conceptual idea of “Save Energy = Save the World”. These concepts were to convey the message of advanced technology that helps reduce energy consumption, while at the same time preserving the world to be sustainable.
An attraction at the event was a life-size energy saving house model featuring the latest ecoconscious innovations in air-conditioning and cooling system as well as electronic and electrical appliances. This green lifestyle solution model by DEP attracted many visitors who were amazed by a comprehensive range of green home appliances, audio visual systems, IT devices and lighting solutions.
Bangkok RHVAC and E&E 2011 were well received. There were more than 6,000 visitors. It was reported that both Thai and foreign buyers were interested in airconditioners, electrical appliances and electronics equipment manufactured by Thai companies. A record of immediate purchase of USD 3.51 million was reported and there was an expected purchase of USD 29.86 million within a year.
Beside visiting the above exhibitions, the Press delegates also had the opportunity to visit three Thai plants. They were:
- Star (Thailand) Co, Ltd. The company manufactures the most advanced technology air-conditioners including the universal type, wall mounted type, cassette type, window type, floor standing type and outdoor type.
- Kulthorn Kirby Public Co, Ltd. The company specialises in the manufacture of reciprocating motor compressors for domestic refrigerators, commercial refrigeration systems and airconditioners.
- Amena Air Thailand (Unico Consumer Products Co, Ltd, UCP). The company manufactures high quality air-conditioners and fan coils for application with water chillers or water boilers for heating.
The 2013 Bangkok RHVAC and E&E exhibitions will be held from 9th to 13th October 2013.
