TEEAM in collaboration with Building Sector Energy Efficiency Project (BSEEP) will be organising a series of nation wide workshops on Energy Efficiency (EE) for the building sector. BSEEP is a national programme for the building sector funded by GEF (Global Environmental Facility) – UNDP. The programme is managed by the Public Works Department (or Jabatan Kerja Raya) in Malaysia.
The first workshop was successfully held on 25th February 2016 at Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar which successfully attracted some 90 participants.
Rising energy cost, legislations relating to climate change and its impact on markets and the need for industry players to respond to such trends is the context for this workshop. This workshop will take participants through the opportunities, and technical and business feasibility of Energy Efficiency. The workshop is supported by Suruhanjaya Tenaga, Green Building Index, The Institution of Engineers Malaysia, Malaysia Green Building Confederation and Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers.
The workshop was approved with BEM 6 CPD/ 4 PDP hours and CIDB 10 CCD points. Participants who benefited from the workshop include contractors, building consultants, facility managers, building owners & operators, building system vendors, competent personnel and government regulators.
