9th April 2020 – TEEAM attended a session of MITI Meeting with Industry Associations/Chambers where Dato Lokman Hakim Ali, Secretary General of MITI briefed the audience of the current development and acknowledged the challenges faced by our E&E industries. MITI viewed both essential business and business sustainability are important and considering to propose to MKN for consideration to include more industry sectors during MCO.

TEEAM has highlighted that many of our E&E members are supporting essential industry and we have 3 operative segments that would need approval.  Subsequently, as requested by MITI,  TEEAM submitted a list of essential members’ business together with their supply chain and services for consideration to operate under the MCO.

MITI through a Media Release on 10th April 2020 is opening application online at www.miti.gov.my on 13th April 2020 for those in the additional sectors who wish to operate under the extended MCO period.
