On 4th July 2011, the leading vendors from Korea East West Power Company (KEWP Co) under the Korean Electricity Company Ltd organised a technical forum and one-to-one business meeting at Prince Hotel & Residence, Kuala Lumpur. The objective was to share their experiences and knowledge with the local business community in the E&E sector, and seek for business partnership with Malaysian companies.
The forum and one-to-one business meeting was organised by KEWP Co and supported by TEEAM, TNB and Malaysia-Korea Technology Centre (MYKOR) under Malaysian IndustryGovernment Group for High Technology (MIGHT). The ultimate objective of the event was to strengthen business relationship between Malaysia and Korea as Smart-Partners.
Mr David Chong Ah Nyap (Vice President) represented TEEAM at the opening ceremony. Some TEEAM officials participated in the forum and business meeting to support the event.
Topics highlighted in the technical forum were:
- Operation and maintenance of Korean power plant by Mr Kim Byoung Hak (Assistant Manager, Win Win Growth Centre of EWP).
- Malaysian electricity generation market overview by Mr Koh Chin Lai (Senior Manager of Performance and Operation Planning, TNB Generation Division).
- Introduction of new technology: realwave pocket analyser: SV Corporation by Mr Joo Jin Yong (President of SV Corporation).
- Introduction to high-speed time synchronised SOE system: Xeonet by Mr Oh Sang Hun (Senior Research Engineer, R&D Institute of Xeonet Co, Ltd).
It was a fruitful event and TEEAM hoped that some business collaboration will be established between the Malaysian and Korean companies.
