On 16th August 2012, TEEAM paid a courtesy visit to TNB’s new President & Chief Executive, YBhg Dato’ Ir Hj Azman Mohd. He was accompanied by his senior officials, Ir Kamaliah Abdul Kadir, Ir Nirinder Singh Johl and Ir Nik Hishamuddin Mohamed. The delegation from TEEAM comprised Engr Fu Wing Hoong (President), Ir Steven Ng Khoon Hwa (Deputy President), Ir Chew Shee Fuee (Vice President), Dato’ Ir Lee Peng Joo (Immediate Past President and Adviser) and Mr Ho Khai Hong (Honorary Secretary).

The visit aimed to congratulate Dato’ Ir Hj Azman on his recent appointment as the President & Chief Executive of TNB. TEEAM also took this opportunity to put forward a proposal to TNB to display Power Factor (PF) surcharge on electricity bills for commercial and industrial tariffs as a way to promote awareness among consumers on the PF. The technical report on the suitability of LED for road lighting in Malaysia which was prepared by TEEAM WG on LED was also highlighted during the discussion.

TEEAM President, Engr Fu also took the opportunity to invite TNB to TEEAM’s Diamond Jubilee Dinner Celebration on 8th September 2012. Overall the discussion was very fruitful and TEEAM thanked Dato’ Ir Hj Azaman and his officials for the time and opportunity given to share issues of mutual concern.
