Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) organised a workshop on Business & Investment Opportunities in Dubai on 29th January 2015 at Menara MATRADE Kuala Lumpur. Some 60 participants attended the workshop which aimed to promote business and investment opportunities available to Malaysian companies in the water, energy, technology & environment sectors in Dubai and the Middle East. Key spoke persons were from the Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA), Mr Abdul Syed Hameed (Senior Manager – Contracts) and Mr Saeed Ali Saif Beljafla (Deputy Senior Manager – Protocol & Hospitality). They were accompanied by Mr Sanjay Nepali (Business Support).
The DEWA Officials were also in Malaysia to promote WETEX 2015 Dubai, the region’s largest government organised trade show for the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment sector, under the Patronage of H H Sheikh Hamdan Rashid Al Maktoum who is the Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and President of DEWA.
Scheduled on 21st to 23rd April 2015, WETEX 2015 – Water, Energy Technology and Environment Exhibition will be occupying a gross exhibition area of over 55,000 sqm of the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The exhibition will showcase over 1,600 world renowned brands including a wide range of high end technological products related to transmission and distribution of energy, and products including steam/gas turbines, diesel/power generators, boilers, pollution control, overhead transmission line equipment, substations, transformers, structural steel, switchgear, cables, instrumentation and control systems, air conditioning, electrical fittings & lighting fixtures, luminaries, fire-fighting systems, lifts, fans and exhaust system, batteries, solar, wind energy products. Oil and gas sector is also introduced to bring a very important aspect of energy source to the exhibition and energy generation industry.
