The 5th ASEAN-India Business Summit, which serves as an important platform to chart the future roadmap for both parties’ business and economic engagement, was held at Berjaya Times Square Hotel on 6 March 2023. The summit, themed “Strengthening and Moving Forward Asean-India Economic Relations for a Strategic Business Partnership”, was held as part of the ASEAN-India Year of Friendship to commemorate more than three-decade long engagement between India and the 10-member bloc of ASEAN.
Minister of Communications and Digital, Malaysia, The Honourable Mr. Fahmi Fadzil delivered a Keynote Address at the Summit, which is supported by the Government of India, through the Economic Diplomacy Division of the External Affairs Ministry of India, with Malaysia’s Ministry of International Trade and Industry and the Federation of Chambers and Commerce of India as partner organisations.
Attendees from TEEAM are Mr Suresh Kumar Gorasia (Past President); Datuk Ir. AH Yong (Immediate Past President); Mr. Chow Wing Kar (Committee Member); Ms. Winnie Khong (Executive Secretary) & Members; Ms. Cynthia Lee & Mr Ng of Multi-B. It was an informative and fruitful Summit.
