Members’ Advisory – Application for Permission to Operate for Sectors Authorised by the Government During FMCO
Announcement of Media Statements by the National Security Council (MKN) and Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), both dated 31 May 2021 on application for permission to operate for sectors authorised by the Government during the Full Movement Control Order (FMCO) from 1 to 14 June 2021, for Members’ attention. MKN SOP during FMCO is also enclosed for reference. Click here for the Media Statements and MKN SOP.
In line with the implementation of the First Phase of MCO, all operating permission letters for essential services sectors authorised by the Government issued by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) previously are revoked from 1 June 2021.
The MKN Special Session chaired by the YAB Prime Minister yesterday decided that a one-stop centre coordinated by MITI be established to issue operating permission letters for the necessary services sector after obtaining confirmation from the Ministry that regulates the sector.
Companies that have already registered in MITI CIMS 3.0 do not need to re-register and can continue to download the letter of permission from the system. For companies in those sectors that have not yet registered, you can register starting from 8.00 am, 1 June 2021. Detailed information on the registration procedure in MITI CIMS 3.0 can be accessed through www.miti.gov.my. You may also refer to the below graphic guideline to download the MITI approval letter.
