Alternative Vaccination Programme for the Manufacturing Sector & Related Services

Industry associations are to collect data on the number of members who are interested to participate in this PPP immunisation programme and submit to MITI.  To minimise workers’ movement, the target group at the moment is restricted to Selangor & Kuala Lumpur for both local and foreign workers.  Industry associations are to gather a minimum of 1,500 workers for this proposed immunisation programme.  The vaccine cost is covered by the Government but the vaccine management is to be borne by the industry.  It is estimated to be about RM50 – RM100 per head depending on the total number of companies signing up.  Only Sinovac vaccine is available for this programme. All applications are subject to vaccine availability, preparedness of company and Government assessment.

2) Proposed Model 2 – Private Immunisation Model (Special Requests)

This private immunisation programme is targeted for business travellers (local, foreign, expatriate [EP holders] and board of directors).  Government will only bear the cost of vaccine.  Only Sinovac vaccine is available for this programme. All applications are subject to vaccine availability, preparedness of company and Government assessment.
