TEEAM organised the first series of Technical Talk 01/2023 on 23 May 2023 at TEEAM Seminar Hall. Distinguished Speaker, Mr. Albert Tan of Conway Terminals Manufacturer, who is also TEEAM Council Member, gave a good sharing on how to achieve good electrical connection to conduct current safely at low temperature, thus resulting in energy savings. He also highlighted some local MS and international IEC standards on terminations and joints.
While Ir. Chris Chew, TEEAM Past President, talked on many aspects of electrical failures caused by poor connection and the preventive procedures needed to reduce the impact and damage to the electrical system. He also highlighted the recent transformer failure fire incident in Midvalley.
It was a good technical sharing session for all and also an opportunity for networking with fellow members. Stay tuned for the next Technical Talk which is set for August.
