TEEAM attended the 6th AGM of the Machinery & Engineering Industries Federation (MEIF), which was held today, 29 March 2023 at KLGCC. TEEAM is a member of MEIF along with seven other Constituent Associations, namely MEMA, MATA, SAMENTA, MSTMA, MMCOA1987, MAIA and UNIKLMFI.
The AGM was chaired by the MEIF President, Mr. Mac Ngan of MEMA; and he was joined by Vice President 1, Datin Lorela Chia of SAMENTA; Vice President 2, Dr. Siew Choon Thye of TEEAM; Honorary Secretary, Ms. Carol Ong of MATA; Honorary Treasurer, Mr. Yue Khin Meng of MSTMA; and Secretary-General, Mr. Sangaran. Besides approving the previous AGM minutes & annual accounts; there was a Secretary report and briefing of MEPN updates. The AGM also passed resolutions to amend the MEIF Constitution with regards to members’ voting rights and the term of office of the elected President.
Other TEEAM Officials who were present to support the 6th MEIF AGM were Ir. Dr. Ng Kok Chiang (Honorary Secretary), Ts. Lim Sai Seong (Honorary Treasurer), Mr. Choo Wei Seng (Safety & Compliance Chairman), Mr. Suresh Kumar Gorasia (Past President) and Ms. Winnie Khong (Executive Secretary). TEEAM looks forward to continuing working closely with MEIF and all other Constituent Associations to drive forward the Machinery & Engineering Industries to benefit TEEAM members.
