TEEAM attended the Launch of VTAR Institute’s PW4 Wireman Programme on 27 March 2023 by Dato’ Dr. Mah Hang Soon, Former Deputy Minister of Education. The PW4 Wireman Programme is accredited by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) and it will be conducted full time & part time at VTAR Institute in Kuala Lumpur. Also present at the Launching were ST Assistant Director of Electrical Competency Unit, Ms. Azlina Hassan. VTAR Institute also offers PW2 Wireman (Full time & Part time) and SKM 2 & 3 Electrical Installation & Maintenance Programmes (Full time).
After the Launching Ceremony, TEEAM had a fruitful Dialogue with VTAR Institute on joint collaboration on PW2 & PW4 Wireman Training Programmes to produce more competent wiremen. Currently the industry is facing a shortage of competent personnel.
Representing VTAR Institute were Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Tan Cheng Liang, Board Chairman, Mr. Soon Mon Huay, Director, Mr. Lim Kit Siong and Asso. Prof. Dr. Chook Ka Joo. While TEEAM was represented by Dr. Siew Choon Thye (President), Ir. Chang Yew Cheong (Deputy President), Ir. Lee Kok Chong (PD & Events Chairman), Dato’ Andy Tan (Asset Mgmt Chairman), Ms. Winnie Khong (Executive Secretary) and members, Mr. Wong Chan Wah & Mr. Louis Loo.
