TEEAM attended a virtual meeting which MITI held with the industries on 12 June 2021, regarding PIKAS – A public-private partnership COVID-19 Industry Immunisation Programme launched as Phase 4 of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) to accelerate immunisation and expedite herd immunity. The virtual meeting was chaired by MITI Deputy KSU, Dato’ Seri Norazman Ayob.

MITI is tasked to co-ordinate the immunisation of employees in the manufacturing sector. While other Ministries will be responsible for vaccination of employees in their respective sectors, i.e.:

• Construction – Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) under Ministry of Works.

• Retail – Ministry of Domestic Trade & Consumers Affairs (KPDNHEP).

Registration for this immunisation programme for the manufacturing sector will start on 13 June 2021 and members can download the registration form from MITI website, http://www.miti.gov.my/redir/pikas/registrationform.html The completed form is to be submitted directly to MITI at vaccine4industry@miti.gov.my.

PIKAS is implemented through 2 models and company can choose either one that is more convenient.

Model 1: Vaccination at common use PPV nearest to company’s location.

Model 2: On-site vaccination within factory premise/identified location.
