TEEAM with the collaboration of International Copper Alliance (ICA) successfully organised a National Workshop on Wiring Standards on 12th March 2019 at Armada Hotel PJ. The Workshop focused on Technical Standards, including IEC & MS IEC Standards which are fundamental to practitioners in the electrical power industry.
The Workshop was supported by the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga – ST), Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) and Malaysian Cable Manufacturers Association (MCMA).
In the Malaysian context, electrical engineers are required to design to MS/MS IEC Standards & other approved standards. These responsibilities require the understanding of design principles, technical standards, awareness of latest standards and staying “current” in knowledge base.
The Workshop provided very interactive and fruitful technical sessions on wiring standards and regulations, power systems and EMC, earthing and equipotential systems, and so on.
Some 90 practitioners in the electrical power industry benefited from this very meaning Workshop.
