Guest-of-Honour, YBhg Dato’ Abdul Razak Jaafar, conveyed the greetings of YB Dato’Sri Hj Fadillah Hj Yusof who was unable to attend due to an urgent matter and proceeded to deliver the Minister’s keynote address. The Minister’s text highlighted the Malaysian economy and the Construction Industry Transformation Programme or the CITP.
The role of TEEAM in particular in providing efficient and quality electrical supply is significant in advancing the latest technology in buildings and the construction industry as a whole. The current emerging LED deployment delivers one of the best lightings with the most efficient use of energy. There is a large scope for improvement in lighting technology. LED technology reduces electricity consumption in delivering the equivalent lighting. The higher cost of LED lights can be recovered through its longer life span.
The Minister was pleased to note TEEAM’s participation in the promotion of the Building Sector Energy Efficiency Project (BSEEP). The BSEEP supports the path of sustainability. He hoped TEEAM will continue to participate strongly in implementing energy efficiency in areas that are still lacking. This will provide a great opportunity for members and contribute significantly to the aspiration of the Government in the areas of Energy Efficiency and Conservation.
The Dinner Organising Chairman, Ir Yong Ah Huat who is also the TEEAM Deputy President thanked his Organising Committee for their great effort in organising the grand dinner. He was delighted to see a great turnout despite business sentiment being slow. All these would not have been possible without the generosity of all our sponsors. He expressed his heartfelt thanks to the exclusive Diamond Sponsor, Philips Lighting Malaysia and all other sponsors for their tremendous support. A special session was held later in the evening to thank the generous sponsors with tokens of appreciation.
The excitement for the night was the lucky draws with 30 attractive prizes given away to the lucky winners. The grand lucky draw prizes were Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (9.7”), ipad Mini 3, Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (8”), Samsung Galaxy Tab A, Samsung Galaxy J7 and Lenovo Tab 2.
