TEEAM successfully held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for 2016 on Sunday, 29th May 2016. It was an inaugural AGM which was held outside of TEEAM’s premises. The venue was Petaling Jaya’s Hotel Armada Latitude Room. Some 61TEEAM members were present. It was a cozy place with a nice ambience for members to network over breakfast before the AGM started.
TEEAM President, Ir Chew Shee Fuee KMN, expressed his gratitude to members for taking time-off to attend this important meeting. He shared with members on the ongoing TEEAM activities and he hoped members would continue to participate pro-actively. He highlighted that MATRADE is actively organising trade events and also promoting business-matching sessions. He hoped that TEEAM members would seize this golden opportunity to expand their business.
TEEAM is continuing with the Self-Test RCCB Campaign to promote safety awareness to the public whilst the Energy Commission is finalizing the Code of Practice for Installation and Maintenance of Water Heater, to ensure the safe use of residential water heaters. Next agenda is to promote the preferred 30mA RCCB which is still not commonly used in residential homes. New houses are now fitted with power outlets protected by 30mA RCCBs for added protection.
The meeting approved the minutes of previous AGM. The Annual Report on the activities of TEEAM and Audited Annual Accounts for the year 2015 were presented. Both documents were duly adopted in the AGM. Members enjoyed a sumptuous buffet lunch at the Hotel’s coffee House after the adjournment of the 2016 AGM.
