Self-Test RCCB Safety Campaign

Posted on 15th December 2014 02:13 PM | News and Event

TEEAM has initiated a national campaign on self-test Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB) at home. The safety campaign themed “Be Safe, Self-Test Your RCCB Today!” aims to raise awareness among the public on need for regular self-testing of RCCBs.

Following the launching of this  campaign in June, TEEAM is conducting roadshows at shopping malls and exhibitions to educate the public on how to test their home RCCB through demonstration units. Roadshows were conducted in Tropicana City Mall on 19th & 20th July 2014, Viva Home Shopping Mall on 17th August 2014, 1 Utama Shopping Centre on 6th & 7th September 2014 , Penang Gurney Paragon Mall on 18th & 19th October 2014 and Tesco Scott Garden KL on 3rd & 4th January 2015. There are more roadshows to come.  TEEAM is also planning to reach out to residential housing and high-rise condo.

A dedicated website http://testrccb.my and facebook/testrccb is created to disseminate awareness information and to engage with the public.

TEEAM wishes to put on record our thanks and appreciation to our generous sponsors, namely ABB, Alpha Automation (Sel), Hager, Maxguard, Megapower, Terasaki and Utama Switchgear. The campaign also has the support from Energy Commission, Tenaga Nasional Berhad, Malaysian Association of Standards Users, 988 Radio Station and 180 Degrees Brandcom. A big thank you for your great support!
