A half day talk on Electrical Safety at Workplace was held on 19th September 2013 at TEEAM Training Centre. It was an inaugural event organised by TEEAM Education & Training Sub-Committee for the new term 2013-2015. The talk attracted some 41 participants. Speaker was Mr Harpajan Singh Dhillon who is a specialist trainer in electrical and power system training. He is also a committee member of the Education & Training Sub-Committee.
During the talk, participants were briefed on the electricity acts and regulations pertaining to workplace electrical safety. They also gained important knowledge of the “do” and “don’ts” when handling electrical equipment/appliances. Mr Harpajan also presented case study on electrocution. He showed a video on electrical safety to add interest to the talk.
Apart from the safety talk, 3M also collaborated in displaying safety products. Live demonstration was carried out to give participants a better understanding of the latest safety products available in the market.
It was a fruitful and interesting talk for all present.
