A half day seminar on “Route to Become a MIEM/P.ENG” was successfully organised by TEEAM on 22nd October 2011 at Hotel Singggahsana, Petaling Jaya. It was conducted by a very experienced speaker, Ir Rocky H T Wong, who is also the Technical Adviser and Honorary Fellow of TEEAM.
TEEAM Deputy President, Ir Steven Ng Khoon Hwa was present to give a welcome address. The seminar topic covered “What it takes to becoming a professional engineer” by attaining an engineer’s first professional qualification viz MIEM (Members of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia). After which one can then apply to BEM (Board of Engineers Malaysia) to be registered as a P.Eng (Professional Engineer), thus gaining the right to use the “Ir” (Engineer) title.
29 participants benefited from the seminar, which ended with an interactive Q & A session. The event was very informative to all the participants.
