TEEAM Code of Ethics

Objective

Members of TEEAM are expected to promote the aims and objectives of the Association and, in particular, to strive for the highest possible degree of professionalism in their business management and engineering practice within the electrical & electronic trade, industry and services.

Principles of Business Practice, Good Engineering and Management Practice

Apart from compliance with the Laws of the Country, a member should:

  1. At all times discharge duties and responsibilities as a Member (as a person or Organisation as defined in TEEAM constitution) with integrity and observe the prescribed Principles of Good Business, Engineering and Management Practice determined from time to time by TEEAM and their Division.
  2. To uphold the standard and reputation of TEEAM.

General

  1. Have regards for the interests of society in carrying out the policies of the company.
  2. Have regards for the general safety of consumers and society through good engineering practice and apply or used only safe, genuine products that comply with acceptable standards of the day.
  3. Engage in continuous learning to enhance competency.
  4. Accept only work that you are competent to perform and, as necessary, obtain expert’s advice.
  5. Be conversant with engineering standard relevant to their responsibilities.
  6. Instilling in other the need for ethical behaviour and sound management practices.

Engeering Construction & Services Group

  • To do it right the very first time
  • Ensure clients’ satisfaction
  • Be proud of our industry
  • Be professional in our undertakings
  • Be competitive
  • Good cooperation in the industry

Trading Group

  • Credit term maximum 90 days only
  • Sell safe product
  • Do not sell imitation products or inferior quality products

Manufacturing Group

Objectives

Our products & services shall:

  • Be safe to use.
  • Be able to perform (or be able to deliver) to spec’s and to standards.
  • Not be harmful to humans, properties, plants, animals and environment.

Code of Conduct

We shall conduct ourselves, as good Malaysia corporate citizens, to ensure the objectives are met at all times, by:

  • Being fair to our consumers/clients and our peers.
  • Being honest in our business transactions.
  • Being worthy of the professions or the trades that we are members of.
  • Being active in advancing the technology, skills, facilities, capability and capacity of our deliverables.
  • Being mindful that our improvement will be progressive and ever incremental with time to suit prevailing circumstances.
  • Being conscious of reality that we are part of the loop for national solution to achieving First World Mentality as a developed nation by 2020.
